Description:
|
Vehicle Description: Passenger vehicles fitted with speed control devices at Gulf States Toyota's Vehicle Processing Center or installed by certain Toyota dealers in Gulf States' region (Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, and Texas). The E-clip which holds the speed control assembly to the accelerator linkage could break. If the E-clip fails, the speed control attachment could come off, causing the speed control to stop working. The loose attachment could cause the accelerator to stick, preventing normal stopping and handling of the vehicle. Gulf States dealers will replace the E-clip with a cotter pin.

Problems with the MAF Sensor, Canister Closed Vacuum Switching Valve and the Pressure Sensor Vacuum Switching Valve can cause the Check Engine Light to illuminate. On some vehicles, the MAF Sensor can be cleaned, and does not need replacement. The cost to replace the Canister Closed Vacuum Switching Valve is estimated at $44.18 for parts and $45.50 for labor. The cost to replace the Pressure Sensor Vacuum Switching Valve is estimated at $75.68 for parts and $65 for labor. The cost to replace the MAF Sensor is estimated at $151.10 for parts and $58.50 for labor. The Corolla is comfortable, rugged and well built, a solid little machine that delivers what it promises. In the ride and handling department, it is better than expected. It is an excellent transportation appliance.Corolla holds its ground well against strong competition. Budget-minded buyers who want a solid car need look no farther. Those seeking a sportier package may want to check with their Volkswagen or Honda dealers. By shopping carefully, a customer can drive away in a nicely appointed Corolla without spending much more than $15,000. The CE model, for example, when equipped with optional side air bags and ABS, is a good buy. As such, it represents good value. Be warned, however, that a loaded Corolla intrudes into Camry territory, so a decision has to be made: Do you want a larger car with minimal extras or a smaller car loaded with everything? |
